RI-TROVA-MENTI

May 16 – June 22, 2025

Circolo del Castellazzo, Parma

To “re-discover (RI-TROVA)” means to find again what was lost or forgotten, but also to uncover what one didn’t expect to be there—or to be there still: in any case, a positive experience between nostalgia and rediscovery.

Re - is also a prefix we use in many words, concepts, and actions—especially to indicate repetition or duplication. In Franca Franchi’s artistic production, re- conveys and expresses a constellation of concept-actions: reuse, rethinking, re-proposal, return, reference, re-evaluation.

This exhibition, which transforms what is discarded, abandoned, or unthinkable into objects and artworks, invites reflection on materials, forms, colors, and dimensions—becoming a narrative, a proposal to re-identify in them a chance to rediscover oneself. It invites the viewer to rest upon them with the openness of visual and mental pleasure, to immerse themselves in the artist’s creative pathways: an invitation to a small emotional journey.
