RI-Project

The PROJECT RI- was born from the presence in the territory, where the artist-designer lives and works, of metalworking companies (steel and iron) that use laser cutting. This type of processing inevitably generates unused parts, metal plates with holes of various shapes and sizes arranged in an absolutely random way.

The artist falls in love with this randomness and captures its beauty. On the other hand, the Zen aesthetics of which randomness is a founding element played a decisive role in Franca's journey.

The line includes panels to be used for separating environments and creating spaces, chairs, tables of various types including wall consoles.

The name PROGETTO RI- indicates, through the prefix "RI-", a new beginning of the material, this prefix is used in verbs such as re-use, re-cycle, re-define, re-generate, re-use, etc. .. in this design line the re-signified metal is laser cut ferrous steel.
